DIRT KARTS
What is Dirt Karting?
Dirt karting is one of the fastest growing grassroots motorsports in New Zealand right now. With clubs like Te Aroha Dirt Kart Club, Christchurch Speedway Kart Club, & in recent years the Franklin Dirt Kart Club continuing to grow year after year, we figured now’s the perfect time to form a dedicated Speedway Kart Club here in the North Island.
With kids as young as five years old and adults well into their 50s, dirt karting is great, affordable fun for the whole family. It’s a fantastic way to hone your driving skills, get extra seat time, & experience the thrill of motorsport in a fun, supportive environment.
Dirt karts are lightweight, high powered machines that race on clay or dirt ovals, just like the big speedway cars. It’s one of the most affordable & accessible ways to get into motorsport, with simple maintenance, low running costs, & plenty of opportunities to learn the craft of racing.
So whether you’re chasing your first taste of speed, looking for a family friendly hobby, or wanting to sharpen your racecraft for other forms of motorsport, dirt karting is the place to start
